10/28/2006- Major new release of Algebra Buster!

Algebra Buster 3.0 is finally released! Previous users of Algebra Buster will be pleasantly surprised. Clunky one-line algebraic expression editor is gone; replaced by true WYSIWYG editor (similar to, but simpler than Word's equation editor).

Many more areas of algebra are covered (functions, absolute values, logarithms, trigonometry...) - full College Algebra curriculum. In addition, you will be pleasantly surprised by Wizard interface that enables easy input of problems with "wordy" description (i.e. line perpendicular to another line ...).

You can check out some  animated demos here.

Here is a pretty complete list of features:

If you are a current user of Algebra Buster, us your order number, for a 50% discount applicable to Algebra Buster 3.0!

Fraction:any part of a group, number or whole.

Calculator:A calculator is a machine that solves math problems.

Permutation:The number of different ways of choosing m objects from n distinct objects when the order to choose objects is important, which is n!/(n-m)!.

Convert:What is it? To change the form, but not the value of a particular number or quantity.

Word problem:A mathematical problem presented in word or story form. The student is to interpret the meaning and intent of the problem, place the question in mathematical terms, reach a solution, and interpret the solution in the context of the original problem. Such problems may call for thought and originality, or may be "type" problems and be treated as routine.

Vector:Any quantity that has both magnitude and direction is called a vector.

Algebra:Algebra also deals with symbols, relations, functions, and equations.

Square root:a rectangle with all four sides the same length

Sequence:A function whose domain is the set of natural numbers.

Negative integer:Any integer less than zero

Equation:a number sentence that uses an equal sign, showing the same value on both sides of the sign, for example 9+2=11.

Grade:- the tilt of a real-life object in relation to the horizontal, often used to determine how steep a hill is

Simultaneous:1. as defined below. EX. Today's lecture is 'How To Sovle Simultaneous Equations.'

Calculator:A machine for performing arithemtical calculations.

Algebra:The study of equations using variables. At Capitan High School, the study of algebra is broken into Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.

Binomial theorem:the theorem that tells how to expand the expression (a + b)^n ... the binomial (a + b) raised to the nth power. There is a descending power of the first term ... an ascending power of the second term ... with numeric values from Pascal's Triangle.

Simultaneous equations:a set of equations with the same unknowns (variables).

Decimal:Fraction with an unwritten denominator of 10 indicated by the decimal point

Algebra:The study of equations using variables. At Capitan High School, the study of algebra is broken into Algebra 1 and Algebra 2.

Algebra:What is it? Algebra is the branch of mathematics that uses letters, symbols, and/or characters to represent numbers and express mathematical relationships. Those symbols are called variables.

Math:Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space and change. It developed, through the use of abstraction and logical reasoning, from counting, calculation, measurement, and the study of the shapes and motions of physical objects.

Square root:Value resulting in a given value when multiplied by itself. For example, the square root of 4 is 2, because 2 ??2 = 4, which is a perfect square.
